The man in the center of the exposure-signs panel has both arms slightly raised and his hair standing outward at approximately forty-five degrees from his scalp, consistent with a static discharge or a wind source located just off the left edge of the frame. A piece of toast is visible near his right knee, closer to the floor than to his hand, which suggests it was not recently thrown but may have landed there some time before the photograph was taken. The outlet on the wall behind him is a standard North American duplex receptacle, unplugged, which is the only element in the panel that cannot be accused of anything.
