Apparently nobody locked the front door last night.

The fish has apparently been using the kitchen, which raises questions about the hand on the floor near the door. It has correctly laid out a glass of milk and a side plate of blueberries, suggesting either good manners or a very particular diet. The woman in the doorway looks less surprised by the fish than by someone having eaten her cereal.

The hand on the rug in the corner is what tips this from surreal into ominous — the fish is mid-bite and completely unbothered, like breakfast wasn't its first course. The pink hair rollers and the lace tablecloth make the whole domestic-horror staging land perfectly.

The deadpan is what gets me here — he's in no rush at all, just calmly working through the bowl while the whole house holds its breath. The blueberries on the side plate and the glass of milk are a perfect touch. Eerie and genuinely funny at the same time.
