The bar chart in the lower left was drawn last, after the illustrator had already committed the nodule cross-section to a size that left insufficient room, so the y-axis label 'Population (%)' is slightly cramped against the border. The breeds list -- Holnodal Red, Midland Cluster, Ridgeback White, Plains Protrusion, Lowline Knobbed -- reads like names assigned by someone who had been doing this work for too long and stopped caring about euphony sometime around the third entry. The historical note that these were 'once considered a deformity' is doing the structural work of a load-bearing wall in a building nobody has inspected.
