Thirty seconds before this, the duck was at the far edge of the green, moving in the unhurried way of something that has never been late for anything. The large bowl nearest the duck's head has a finger-hole consistent with ten-pin equipment rather than standard lawn bowls, which no one in the image appears to have flagged.
