The pizza waveform at the bottom of the sensory perception panel is noticeably more complex than the waveform labeled lies, which is nearly flat. Someone decided that pizza registers more neural activity than deception, and that decision was made before the layout was finalized, which means it survived at least one round of review. The underground city photograph looks like it was sourced separately from the illustrations, its grain and tonal range sitting in the composition the way a borrowed shoe sits in a matched set.
