The smartphone in the lower right corner reads 7:12, which means whoever sent that text sent it before dark. The wax seal next to it is the kind of object that would have been pressed, cooled, and placed there by someone who then left the frame entirely -- the seal is complete, the presser is gone. The scattered photographs beneath the book show figures that may or may not match anyone visible above them, which is the sort of overlap that takes four to six hours to cross-reference properly.
