The number dispenser, bolted low on the counter face, is nearly out of ticket stock -- the replacement roll has been on order since the third week of last month. Five minutes before, the chair scraped the tile in a way that made two people in the waiting area look up and then look back down at their forms. The overhead fluorescent panel above the waiting area has one tube running at roughly sixty percent, giving the left side of the room the color of old freezer ice.
